Bass Guitar |
| The bass guitar is very similar to the electric guitar. It is bigger, wider, and heavier than the electric though. It doesn't use the strings that the other types use either. It uses strings that can be tuned an entire octave lower than the normal electric guitar. They are very thick so the bass has to be strong so it doesn't snap under the pressure. The bass is played with your fingers or a pick. Basses come in many varieties like 4 strings, 5 strings, 6 strings, and even 9 strings. They are used in all styles of music. Back to TYPES page |
